Presence is a software development company that has designed and developed a ground breaking application in the billing systems space that could be used for range of purposes including utilities - water, gas and electricity suppliers, telecommunications companies -mobile phone, land line and 3G service and hardware and software hosting firms.
The Managing Director of Presence Systems recognised the possibilities for the future but being a small business with a focus on software development, was concerned that he may never actually get this new product to market, which lead to SMI being called in.
SMI's approach:
- After analysing the market, the product and its capability, SMI recommended that the application be 'productised' into 3 separate products for the different markets and TELCO-bill, UTIL-bill and HOST-bill were created.
- A national distributor with the right connections was appointed
- Marketing and demonstration systems are being prepared
- Pre-marketing has commenced and the first round of expressions of interest have been expressed
- A controlled rollout is planned, but interest from companies within Australia and Asia are testing that resolve.
- Further corporate development work is progressing to support the growth plans and rollout
